I would like to recommend Pattie Allen as a patient and healthcare advocate. I have known Pattie for over 20 years. She is not only a dear friend but has also been an advocate for me many times in my life and health journey. As a young widow, Pattie helped me navigate my grief, anxiety, and health. Not only did she guide me, she also helped my young children. She knows the importance of caring for the whole family.
More recently (August 2022), Pattie was there for me when I got the "cancer call"! Not having anyone in the family with breast cancer, I had no knowledge base, and I was neither mentally nor emotionally prepared for this diagnosis. A call to Pattic began to put things into perspective for McC. Her forty-plus years in the medical field were a blessing to me. She helped me understand my diagnosis and was able to do research on the current protocols to guide me. It gave me peace of mind and a game plan. After doctors' visits, I would come home confused, have misconceptions, and have more questions. Pattie was able to answer my questions, clear up my misconceptions, and help me through follow-up appointments. She also offered to speak to my daughter, who now must begin early screenings. Through out this process, Pattie has guided me, done research for me, interpreted tests, and checked up on my wellbeing.
Pattie won't tell you what to do, but she will make sure you have the facts and data so that you can make the best choices for yourself. She is an intent listener, positive, and encouraging. Her vast knowledge of healthcare, her compassion, and her love for others make her the best choice for a patient health advocate.
